College of Engineering Web Services

CAEN and the College of Engineering's Office of Information Technology offer limited web services to College of Engineering departments and administrative units. These include the following Apache web services:
  • Access Control (htaccess)
  • Apache Builds for Linux
  • Online web file space
  • Oracle Table Space
  • Pre-existing CGI Applications *
  • SSL (Cert. required for virtual hosted sites)
  • Searching (Available upon request if hosted by CAEN)
  • Server-Side Includes
  • Servlet/JSP web application development
  • Static & Dynamic Statistical Analysis (Available upon request if hosted by CAEN)
  • Virtual Hosting
* Due to security concerns, CAEN does not currently allow the creation of CGI scripts on the College of Engineering web server. However, there are a number of standard CGIs provided by U-M Web team at:
